Dry Vase is part of a vessel series that has been turned and hollowed from a single piece of Rain Tree wood that once stood in the former British Ambassador’s Residence in Wireless Road, Bangkok. Each piece has its character and grain pattern and offers a complementary form to dried twigs, dried flowers or even what is considered roadside weeds. Dry Vase is an object reminding us to celebrate the wholeness of life, appreciating even the mundane parts and noticing the commonplace around us.
