The exhibition showcases an experimental design process based on chances, causes and consequences. The collection of 12 three-legged stools is created by 12 different cross-disciplinary teams ranging from architects, artists, craftsmen, designers and jewellery makers. Each team is asked to provide stool parts (3 legs and 1 seat) without any limitation on material and shape. All parts are then gathered and reassigned by a computer-generated randomiser (the modern days' oracle). The 12 complete sets of random stool parts are then redistributed to the participants for completion (paying attention not to receive the pieces they have submitted).

The exhibition encourage visitors to share a moment of  stillness, reflect on our feelings and potentially implement changes in our daily lives that places generosity and empathy to the forefront.

The show is an observation prompted by an opportunity to  spend more time away from what was once normal. Each work presented ponders around the definition of normality  as an ideal life, a provided standard, something safe,  familiar, and comfortable. The scenography of the exhibition reflects on the stages  we go through in a state of emergency. Starting with new  rules forced by emergency law, going through the discomfort  feeling of entering something unfamiliar, protecting ourselves & loved ones, and finally finding balance and appreciation in the mundane.

The exhibition encourage visitors to share a moment of  stillness, reflect on our feelings and potentially implement changes in our daily lives that places generosity and empathy to the forefront.

Transmigration in the spiritual sense is the movement of a soul into another body after death. The makers’ interpretation of this theme is embedded within the process of production. Both Nanu Youttananukorn (TH) and Maxime Goleo (FR) working with wood that are either used, found, unwanted or reclaimed. Central in their methodology of this particular series is the adaptation of form into purpose, finding a new life in an otherwise neglected piece of timber.
